Information on Dust Mites
Today mattresses are the ideal environments for house dust mites at
a room temperature of 20-28 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity
of 70-80%.
Bacteria infested flakes of dry skin offer mites a rich source of
food. Their reproductive rates are high. Up to 2500 mites have been
counted on one gram of dust. That means 1million mites in a double
mattress. This then can produce a corresponding amount of excrement
which contains guanine. Scientific evidence indicates that this
guanine is the cause of allergies and the problems that arise from
them like Asthma, Bronchitis inflammation of the mucosa membrane ,
reddening of the eyes and itching. With every movement of the body
in the bed the dust and dust mite excrement is churned up. The
mattress acts as a bellow blowing dirt into the mouth, nose, eyes
and onto the skin. No amount of normal cleaning or even vacuuming
can eliminate the mites, which simply cling to your household items
and continue to breed.
Common allergic symptoms caused by dustmite :

4. shortness of breath,
5. eye infections,
6. asthma,
7. eczema or
8. sneezing / blocked / runny nose
9. dermatitis
Research also shows that babies & young

Our
3-step treatment process, a more effective methodology
DESTROY
We treat the upholstery item by destroying the
dustmites with high temperature steam through our Super Steaming
process at 155 degrees which penetrates through the 6",8" thick mattress killing
the mites, bacteria & viruses in the process and get rid of most
odors.
EXTRACT
We will employ the extraction method to remove the dead mites and
it's excrements from the upholstery item. Any surface
dust found on the mattress or sofa and around corners, will also be removed in the
process.
PREVENT
During the final stage of the treatment, we will protect your
upholstery item with an environmental friendly and
organic certified anti-dustmite solution safe for humans and pets to
keep dustmites at bay for the next 3 to 4 months. It is a chemical
free process and leaves a pleasant aroma.
How often is a treatment required
This is extracted from Wikipedia : "The
average life cycle for a male house dust mite is 20 to 30 days,
while a mated female house dust mite can live for 70 days, laying 60
to 100 eggs in the last 5 weeks of her life. In a 10 week life span,
a house dust mite will produce approximately 2000 fecal particles
and an even larger number of partially digested enzyme-infested dust
particles."

once at least every 3-4 months to stay mite-free.
